Awa Ambra Seck
I am a 6th-year Ph.D. candidate in Political Economy and Government (Economics track) at Harvard University. My main areas of interest are development economics, political economy, and economic history.
My research focuses on understanding the historical determinants of emigration from sub-Saharan Africa to Europe and its dynamics today. I am also passionate about understanding how cultural traits and economics intertwine, with a focus on the ethnic groups of sub-Saharan Africa.
Before joining Harvard, I completed a Master of Science in Economics and Social Sciences at Bocconi University and received my bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Turin and Collegio Carlo Alberto.
